What is a mosaic of infertility?
Infertility stories are hard to share. They are often incomplete. Many times, infertility stories are filled with conflicting emotions. Just like mosaics, infertility stories are compiled of broken pieces, often rough around the edges, pieced together to make something meaningful. And like a mosaic, when you're in the middle of an infertility story, you might not be able to see anything while you're piecing things together. But hopefully, even prayerfully, when you step back from the mess, you might find something that you've created something beautiful. Welcome to the beautiful mess.
What's the story?
The creator of this website, Dallas Thompson, is a seminary student at Columbia Theological Seminary. The classes she feels are most life-giving are pastoral care classes. This website was born out of a creative project in the Death, Dying, and Grief class. There is a new theory about grief in pastoral care called the Mosaic Theory. This website combines resources, stories, prayers, and a variety of other articles that, when pieced together, might help someone living in the midst of an infertility story. You're invited to explore everything presented here as well as submit your own stories, questions, or ideas.
